Experience.

  1. KomRe AG · Senior Fullstack Developer

    03/2025 – present · Berlin

    • Led technical decisions, code reviews and planning for the developers reporting to me, and made the decisions on every part of the UI overhaul (Angular web and Android tablet apps) and of the resident emergency web app, with occasional direct customer feedback.
    • Designed and built a full-stack reporting module for public authorities (Angular, PrimeNG, Java/Play, MySQL), replacing a paper and Word process with validated forms, server-side drafts, server-assigned report numbers and role-based permissions.
    • Built the review dashboard with combinable filters, change history, CSV export and live updates over WebSockets, with polling kept as a fallback.
    • Made concurrent editing safe with optimistic locking, transactional row locks and field-level conflict resolution, tested against real MySQL concurrency scenarios, and added report versioning with full history.
    • Rolled the module out for a field test with 28 municipalities, including accounts, permissions and a realistic exercise scenario for each.
    • Shipped backup and restore for an Android tablet fleet: one file re-provisions a device after a full app-data wipe, proven with scripted end-to-end and fault-injection tests before release to field tablets.
    • Built a public-information display system (Angular, Java/Play, Python) whose delivery layer let the whole hardware stack be replaced without application changes; tested on hardware and presented at an industry event.
    • Created a component library shared by the Angular web app and the Android app, with Webpack and design tokens enabling scalable theming across new and legacy modules.
    • Carried the Android field-tablet app through a full UI overhaul and platform migration from Android 6 to 13, and built its redesign line with turn-by-turn guidance and an updated map. Vehicle crews use it to receive assignments, follow offline maps and routing, and report back to the control centre over a private radio link, with outgoing messages other than position updates queued until acknowledged.
    • Designed and built a multilingual emergency web app for residents, reached over local Wi-Fi during a blackout: guided reports to the emergency services, situation reports, a map of help locations and offers of help, with a browser outbox that holds failed sends and retries on reconnection.
    • Migrated the Angular app step by step from version 10 to 19, delivering a full redesign on it while keeping the current customer client feature-identical.
    • Mentored developers, enforced a consistent folder structure and co-led feature scope alignment with product managers, streamlining onboarding and reducing release blockers.
  2. ecostag GmbH · Senior Frontend Developer

    10/2023 – 02/2025 · Dortmund (hybrid)

    • Delivered the full UI overhaul of the web product single-handedly ahead of its public release, working from the Figma designs.
    • Built the team's first UI library in Vue with Quasar and Atomic Design, adopted across the whole team, so features could be assembled from shared components.
    • Built the registration, login and checkout pathways with Pinia, and role-based access control with router guards, improving modularity and access security.
    • Rebuilt the test setup with Vitest and Cypress, made tests mandatory for feature PRs, and mentored junior developers from pair programming to shipping independently.
    • Ran code reviews and planning for junior and intern developers, delegating tasks and showing them their way around when they needed it.
    • Reduced CI/CD bandwidth and deploy time by 40% through Docker cache optimization in GitHub Actions workflows.
  3. Digital Dignity · Frontend Developer (volunteer)

    04/2023 – 12/2024 · Cologne (remote)

    • Built an SSR React/Next.js facial-match platform helping victims of non-consensual intimate media report abuse through secure UI workflows.
    • Implemented a 3D motion scan and React Hook Form validation, reducing false user-verification submissions.
    • Streamed the live face-scan status to the UI via React Query and hooks, improving feedback speed and reducing mismatches; the matches themselves went out by email.
  4. koviko GmbH · Full-stack Developer

    10/2022 – 09/2023 · Potsdam

    • Built the TypeScript Node.js API behind every client: it delivered learning content, recorded results and reported the current content version to the web app and the iOS and Android apps.
    • Built the Angular web app for learners and admins, including reusable learning-flow components from Figma and the administration of the mobile apps.
    • Delivered a statistics view for managers, with usage, time and answers aggregated per employee in the API rather than in the browser, keeping payloads small and figures consistent.
    • Delivered a full-stack update system across web and mobile that notified users and blocked continued use until they were on the current content, boosting feature engagement.
    • Introduced Jest on the Angular client and the Node.js backend alongside the existing Jasmine tests, with test-driven development and pair programming reducing bugs.
  5. Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena · Frontend Developer

    10/2019 – 04/2022 · Jena

    • Migrated a legacy Vue 2 codebase to Vue 3 (Composition API) across nine institute websites, improving modularity and cutting the JS bundle by 40%.
    • Delivered dashboards with Vuex, Axios, and Cypress, and led the introduction of Cypress-based integration tests.
  6. recruIT Ltd · Web Developer (intern → junior → developer)

    01/2018 – 09/2019 · Baku, Azerbaijan

    • Reduced dashboard load time by 35% through lazy loading and a responsive refactor of Vue-based layout components.
    • Created reusable Vue templates and UI modules, cutting frontend development time across projects by over 40%.
